Mung bean Sprouts are free from cholesterol and are ideal for anyone counting calories. One cup of mung bean sprouts contains only 30 calories as well as  3g of protein, 6g of carbohydrates, and 2g of fat. Mung Bean Sprouts also contain a high source of fibre, are easily digestible and contain a high concentration of enzymes facilitating the digestive process.

Mung Bean sprouts contain vitamins A, B, C and E, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium and contain 20% protein. They also contain thiamin, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and copper, and are a good source of folate.

Those diagnosed with colorectal adenomas who changed their diets to increase their intake of beans were 65% less likely to suffer a recurrence of advanced adenomas.
